    I can not find this exact one anywhere.I have a few pieces of Finnish glass in my collection.Also Hoya but none seem to be coming up.
    Can anyone help?
    Racer4 may have an idea.

      Hi Rose. I can't definitely identify this yet but I am leaning toward Japan.
      The style is more Japanese to me than Scandinavian. The high sides and smooth walls are indicative for me. In general I think the Japanese had a different sense of proportion than the Europeans but that is subjective, not scientific, so might all be BS!
      You were right looking at Hoya but its not a known pattern to me...maybe Soga?

      Another thing I have noticed is that Japanese ashtrays are much more likely to have cigarette rests moulded in them. The Scandis seemed to leave use a bit more open, but Japan had a huge smoking culture and they made specifically for it.

      The glass appears 'etched' where cigarette rests.

      I like the quality of it.It appears chunky for want of a better word racer..lol
