I saw these tractors on display in Kinzers Pennsylvania near Lancaster. Theses were all kerosene fired Rumley steam tractors made around 1907.They are having a national steam tractor gathering there in August. All the big names will be there.
Nice to see such a large collection.
The Rumely Oil Pull, is a kerosene burning internal combustion engine not steam.
Ron, great posting. Up in North Dakota, they have a large gathering every year and parade these style old iron and everyone has a chance to see in action and people are welcome to ride/work the beauties. Thrashing festival also....if you have a pitchfork....was last weekend this year.
At Austin, MB at the Manitoba Agricultural Museum, in 2010 they set a world record with five of these tractors pulling a 66 bottom plow on a custom built hitch.
