I recently attended a local antique show and saw this scent bottle. I was really taken by the colour combination and the stylized fish and so the research began. I have to say here Google is a wonderful thing!!
I received some great help from Susan a collector of Czech perfume bottles. If you are reading this Susan thank you again.
The bottle was designed in the 1920’s by Johann Umann and was featured as part of a set in his 1929 catalogue.
I don't like to use the word rare unless I can substantiate the claim however after researching this piece I am comfortable with phrase “hard to come by”.
Details: The bottle stands 5.5”. The stopper number and bottle number are the same.
