I believe this to be a Buddy L Lumber Truck with a bad paint job. Any idea when it might have been made? I was considering having it restored but not sure who to have do it. Any recommendations?
    Thanks in advance!

Was it badly repainted? Looks like it is just worn to me. If it is just normal wear restoring it could lower the value. I would leave it as is.

If this is what I believe it to be, it would have originally been black with a red frame and wheels. And yes, bad paint job :/

Here's one with original paint. Definitely worth having it professionally restored.

Thanks AzTom. Would anyone know any professional toy restorers in Ohio?

Boy, not anymore, I've been out of Ohio for about eight years now. I'll ask a few friends I stay in contact with.

I did wind up having this restored as it had been given a really bad paint job. My Father-in-law Kenney Gadd who was a professional body man did the restoration for me in trade for 2 free lawn mowings. I would cut their grass for free but they won't allow me to not accept the $15 for the work. So total restoration cost so to speak was $30. I did have this appraised by the Buddy L Museum, in the condition I bought it in, they gave it a value of between $200 - $400. A reappraisal after the restoration came in at $400 - $600. Considering that I only paid $40 for it I think I did pretty well! I will never sell it because having my Father-in-law do the restoration, seeing the joy that it brought him to do the work and the pride that he had in the outcome brings the sentimental value to $$PRICELESS!!
