    Cpomedx
    (66 items)

Described as coming from an old gold mining entrepreneurial home of Claude de Bernales , Kalgoorlie Western Australia.
I have no idea as to the maker or it's original origin.
It's about 2ft tall and weighs approx 6 kilograms. Frame is bronze.
    Absolutely substantial
    Any thoughts?

      That is just fantastic!
I know nothing about it but am interested in how you know it's original home?

In depth discussions with the man that arranged for inspection of the property highlighted the authenticity to me.
The history behind the mining magnate and his history here in Perth accentuated the incredible value of this piece also.
It is just so much of a intricate piece that I researched as much as possible and consulted other professionals in my city. They all were very interested in it.

Take a realy close look at the glass to see if a molded mark is hidden in the design

      I tried.
Difficult to examine without completely taking it apart.
I could see some signs of molding though.
      Thanks for your thoughts.

      I took off one panel,
Thinking that all the glass panels would be the same.
Assuming that each panel would be identical, yet still no makers mark that I can see

Could have originated from the Paris exposition of 1900, given the original purchaser, mining magnate Claude de Bernales.
