    This was found in northern mi in a river in front of a building that was A Marina back in the 50s. Outside of being covered with Zebra mussels & some corners rusting its in decent shape. I would look at it while fishing for the last 20 years & after watching American Pickers I went down & got it.

      agh,GM used their GM diesel's in more than just locomotives(TRACTORS, BUSES, SEMI'S, POWER-PLANTS,ETC) I would venture to say that is why you 1948 image is different.And since the common person would not need a locomotive,adverts like this would be pointless.(Not many train dealers in every town)Magazine ad's yes signs ,no,IMO
