Pleading with CW viewers to take a good look at this piece... Is it a painting? A tapestry? So unknown...! There are several photos so I am adding more to the next show and tell posting because I am desperately needing help! Thank you for viewing and HELP! :)
Looks like someone painted over a piece of printed textile. Sort of a home made paint by numbers.

agree with TA! lovely though. :)
My first thought was it might be a fraktur, but I'm far from an expert on the subject.
I guess Frakturs are German Pennsylvania art that almost always has text in it. So I was way off.
I am (praying) this was done by a master artist... Someone famous.... with works selling for millions! (or even hundreds).... :)
or......just some Folk art ????
see how the different colors do not mix at all on their edges? that's not a good sign. that means it is probably a paint by numbers set. sorry i can't give you the great news you are looking for.
