The "solder it" paste I used is told not suitable for pot metal but I think could work on pewter, it solders in 2 seconds under mini torch (is told too it is efficient with a lighter!).

I used a silver bearing solder in a syringe, ready to use with integrated flux.
Name of the product is "solder it"
Think it is great for small works like this, the 7g syringe will last a lot as applied very small amount with a tooth pick!
