This great old sign came off of the old Route 66 about 30 mi out of Gallup NM. It was in front of an old abandoned gas station with an old visible gas pump still standing by it. We felt very fortunate to be able to buy this old sign and move it to aaaLakeside Storage in Provo. The full story of how we managed to purchase it is very exciting. For those that know signs, this was originally a Phillips 66 sign that was painted over to show what it shows now. Phillips Oil marketers were brilliant when they decided to take on the US Highway shield design and also change their name to Phillips 66 to go along with the new look! What a great marketing idea and has it ever lasted!! Only in America! Come see all our signs and pumps at aaaLakeside Storage in Provo. Its FREE.

The only "Provo" I know is in the Turks & Caicos islands near me. Providenciales. Sure don't think Route 66 went thru there! Have had some great times in Provo thought. The owner of a plane & I stole his own plane back from the T&C CAB some yrs back. Never heard a word about it! Great fun & the locals helped.
Aaalakeside Storage is in Provo Utah which is the home of BYU & south of Salt Lake City about 35 mi.
