This brass scale approximately 18 inches wide and 20inchs tall. The only stamp I could find was on the beam. The maximum weight is 3 lbs. Haven't seen one like it. Don't know what it was used for. It belonged to my grandmother and is now mine thanks for looking.

This is a decorative scale that was manufactured in the last 30 years. Scales like this were never manufactured prior to the 1970's. They are fantasy scales, an idea someone came up with to sell scales. The pivots on all these scales are round. The pivots are located where the pan attaches to the beam and where the hanger attaches to the beam. Both pivots go through the beam. A genuine antique scale will have V shaped pivots.
