    (22 items)

1st picture - Maurice Drac Payan my 2nd great grand uncle, 2nd picture - Louise Alice Reynaud in far right of picture she is my great grand aunt, 3rd picture on far right is Juliette Marie Reynaud my great grandmother, 4th picture is my mother and oldest sister in Metz France. Racer4 had asked me about a car in one of the other family photos I posted. I am not sure if this is the same car but the question prompted me to find another picture and post it. I decided to post a few other neat pictures. It is a blessing to have so many great ones. I "found" them all through cousins I didn't know I had on Ancestry.com. Great stuff on that site. :) Cheers everybody!

Thanks, friends for the love. These old photos bring me a lot of joy. I'm glad to see they made you smile too blunderbuss. My French ancestors were interesting and some seemed to have a sense of humor. . In the future, I hope to visit Romette and the surrounding area in France to find more information.

Oh, French. That explains a lot! They would wear it in public! Sorry, but my business is in French territory & I have to adjust a bit, every day when I cross the frontier. LUV it! Often, it takes a visitor to point out strange things that I wouldn't have given a second thought to otherwise. I may have seen something like that yesterday without thinking anything about it unless it was pointed out to me! That pic has me laughing to tears because I'm just calloused to strange sights here & how I just don't even think about them when I "see" them. I don't often wake up to these things & thank you for waking me up to the humour all around me that I don't see. Next week I'll be back to normal, but LMAO tonight!!

Great photos again FOV! I'll get my resident car expert to see if they can identify the car.
And wow - your mother is so beautiful!

blunderbuss2, you are a real riot! What part of France do you visit?
racer4four, thank you. That would be great to know what the vehicle was. I have tons more pictures and they’re just great. My mom is still beautiful. ?

Friendof, half of this "Rock" I live on is a Provence de France.. I lived over there 13 yrs. before moving to the Dutch side. I live less than 1 km from the frontier even now. We go across almost every day for breakfast croissants & then escape back to the Dutch side. lol

Thanks, Blunderbuss. I had no idea. I knew you were on an island but had no idea there were French and Dutch sides. How interesting! So you like the food but not the company... well okay then. :)
