We post this in "General Multi-Category " because it doesn't seem to fit in any other.

We just purchased this from a thrift store and while doing some research online we have found that the Ecole Nationale des Beaux is one of the finest Art Schools in France. This piece of art has a stamp dated 1885 and includes a blue print of the building under the actual drawing, we are interested in finding out more about the artist and other information such as possible value. If you have any information on who to contact or where to look regarding this beautiful piece of art please let us know. Any information or leads would be appreciated. Thank you!

Person must have been with the Design Dept. at ENDB. The bottom left seems to be location and year building was built? That name on upper left could be the Artist? Hard to read? The word Bibliotheque in the stamp means Library, so this must be a Library Catalog stamp. Dave

I just purchased this exact piece of art signed by Barbier from a thrift shop, also. From what I have read, Barbier's work didn't get out until the early 1900's. So, the date, must be of the building, as was earlier stated. Any more info found on this?
