I googled B.A.D. and Art Deco and I found a lot of "Bad" stuff that I wasn't looking for so I need help on this one. This Aluminum Shield has all the Art Deco Motifs in it; the Lady holding the sun (letter "A" is in it), her loin cloth, the draped wings, the triangular shield behind her legs, her flowing hair and the stylized vine around the shield inside the shield. It appears to have been affixed to something since it has remnants of rivets holding another triangular 1/2" diameter frame on the back. It measures 4 3/8" long by 3" wide. Anyone recognize this B.A.D plaque/shield. Could it have been on luggage or in Olympics material? Thanks, RER(BOB)
Thanks vetraio50 and aghcollect for the loves. RER(BOB)
Has most of the "ear-marks" of possibly a German/Bavarian village/town fete, possibly from middle 20's etc before they started using the swastika on all of them, but could also be post war as well, of course. In other words, your guess is as good as mine.
Thank you tom61375, mikelv85, AmberRose, SEAN68, geo26e and smiata for the loves, BOB
Hi Blunderbuss2....I thought the same....probably a regional German event with B.A.D being a location like BAD HOMBURG. Someone may recognize it. RER(BOB)
