This bracelet belonged to a family friend who lived in the Seattle area for many years. It has Forstner Stainless Steel stamped on the inside.I believe the emblem is US Navy.

Thank you! I've always loved the piece....just didn't know much about it.

      It is not a rank.

It is the same insignia as seen with officers cap badges-- just smaller size.

Thanks! Any idea if this would've been a mass produced piece? Advice on how to find out more about it?

These are often referred to as "Sweetheart jewelry"-- although not all of the examples were made for sweethearts. An ebay search of "US navy sweetheart bracelet" will yield similar examples.

These were very popular during WW2 in order to show support for the war effort and interest wained since that time.

WW2 examples most often have sterling silver. I have seen similar WW2 examples.

Your central piece may in fact be WW2 era with a later addition of a later stainless band. Look on the back of yours to see any maker or "sterling" marks.
