Hi Folks,
I am pretty sure this is a ships clock but not positive. The case has slide out mounting brackets on the back. The case locks and the clock itself had no name on it and it is key wind from the back. The case is heavy brass and the bezel screws off. There is no adjustment for the hands so you have to take the bezel off and move the hands to set time. It has a very early platform escapement horizontal mount. Dial is silvered on brass. Heavy brass plates. Every part of movement is numbered with the number 2712, even the back of the dial. I can't find any other markings but I have not yet been able to remove the dial to see if there are any markings on the front plate because the taper pin which holds the hands on is sheared off flush with the handshaft. A good guess after searching thousands of Google images is that it could be a Russian ship clock. Any help in identifying this clock would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
