Degas’s Sculpture I found this link below I really don't understand if this is an original or who signed the base, about 13.5"tall .....see photos
Who signed the base?

Could this be a rare piece. (it doesn't feel heavy enough to be bronze)

Bit hard to tell what the dress and ribbon are made from by the photos.

I am affaid this is a copy. The original, titled "Little Dancer of Fourteen Years" has a much more detailed casting. You can check it here:

The Sao Paulo Art Museum has one of the 28 copies casted from a Degas original mold, after his death. It is dressed with an old, almost decomposed tutu.
Any idea who signed it?????
