Found this wonderful little oil on canvas board at Salvation Army. It's only 8" x 10" with the simple white frame it's 12 1/2" x 10 1/2". I think it's a gem personally. It's signed on the painting as well as on the back. There's also the title and even a dedication to someone in pen with the date of "64", although it could have been done earlier. I love the way it's painted using a thick impasto in the impressionist style. So much detail in such a little canvas. An online search ID's this as the Cathedral of St. Croix in Orleans France. Whoever she was she was a very talented artist however I could find nothing online about Margaret Pelzl. This will look very nice with my Antonio DeVity paintings which I found last week. -Mike-
