Another one of 1/72 Scale Hasegawa kits I had built some 20 moons ago. I believe this is a Spitfire Mk XIV with the Griffon 65 engine. I love the Griffon engined Spits, more so of the later version with the bubble canopy. I believe this one should be of the 1944 period, with the Normandy "Black & White Stripes" painted on it, and probably belonged to one of the units to help shoot down the V1 rockets flying over the Channel to bomb London - thus, it was dubbed the "V1 Killer". But if anyone would have any more info on this plane, or its operational history etc. please do let me know. Cheers.
