Army & Navy Cooporative Society Ltd LAMP? Kerosene Can? What is this...
    7" x 5" tall. Brass or Tin
Then end piece on the spot screws off as well as the top piece. You can then pull out a metal strainer. It was advertised as a lamp, but I wonder if it is a kerosene or oil can for a lamp.
    The top says:
CAUTION BEFORE LIGHTING LAMP REMOVE BOTH SCREWS, A & N C S LTD
There is no odor, so cannot tell what was in it.

It's very much like a torch lamp, or more specifically a spout torch lamp.

I was able to figure it out by TubeAmp's reply. It is a Victorian Traveling Kettle to take on picnics. It is just one part of three it appears. It sets inside a what appears to be a cup, which sets atop a burner. You can check out this link:

Do you think it was part of a camping tea set? (The reference to the Lamp may be the missing lamp burner that goes under it). http://www.spiritburner.com/fusion/showtopic.php?tid/21640/post/new/

Yes, it is just part of the camping tea set. By itself you would think it to be a lamp, but by it mentioning two screws, I felt it may have been part of something bigger.
I think this one is solved.

We both were typing at the same time. When you added the tea strainer photo, that sealed the deal.
