This knife belonged to my grandfather who fought in ww2. He was part of the 91st 363rd Army infantry. The knife has no makers mark on blade, handle, or scabbard. Please help me identify where this knife came from. I've done a lil research and this may be an Italian Paratrooper Mod 1939 knife. But I'm not 100% sure.

The pommel & scabbard look German but some other styles don't.

looks german to me too. but more like a military boot knife as opposed to a paratrooper knife. he was infantry and spent most of his time on the ground, its highly likely he retrieved it from a fallen soldier.
