(1 item)
I have tried to find out as much as i could about this item. It is a oxygen tank that connects to gas and has a torch on the end for welding, It is a S.J. Smith product and i can not find any dates on it. it was found in a forcloused home that i was cleaning out. I would like some help getting information on this item. thank you
Post it right side up. No, it isn't the camera's fault.
It will not allow me to rotate it, i have tried and i rotated it and then reuploaded and it still would not work. sorry
Then go to S.J. Smith web site and research it, they are still in business.
It appears to be a oxy propane torch for soldering or brazing (light duty)
S.J. Smith is the supplier of the oxygen bottle.
Actually probably an oxygen bottle orig. for Oxy/Acetylene welding although many people use propane & butane to save money.
Hello: You need to post some better pictures, showing the other side of this rig! My first thought, is this is a rube goldberg home made concoction. I say this, because it appears to have a mixture of 2 or 3 different gas welding systems, with a supply line hose that looks like surgical tubing. Now the torch handle assembly looks quite interesting, and could be old. The small regulator that is hanging on the right side is usually used with Map Gas, or Propane type bottles, as was mentioned. Also, see if the torch handle has any names, or numbers on it, when you take the other pictures. One last thing to consider, is if the tank has not had a hydrostatic test on it in the last 10 years, it will need one, and that is not cheap. The tank appears to be a Oxy "B" tank! Good Luck!
