My best friend of 18 years passed away last month. He was several years older than I , but i ran across this in is basement and remember him having this on his boat 18 years ago . I have been searching online all morning to see its history, worth, and other things like it. What I did find out....it was made by ALFCO NY sometime in the 60s, which the company is now out of business. I went on Ebay to see if there were any others like it by chance, and there were a few made by same company ranging from $199-750. Does anybody know anything else about this figurehead? Thank you for your time.
You are looking at asking price with your quote. They are asking that much but none of them have bids. The only one I actually found that sold online went for $16.99. eBay isn't a good guide to value. Some items are way over price and others are way low. You need to look at what the item actually sold for and where.
