This is my Mickey Mouse wind up watch. I know I got this as a kid so I know its at least 30+ years old. Not sure of its value and I cant find one similar to it with a yellow band. But it's cool and a great memory from my past.

Hello evilclownz, you're watch is indeed older than 30 years, These are an unauthorized variant first produced around 1966, Known as the "tongue" Mickey for the depiction of Mickey, appears to have his tongue sticking out. These were produced in the Far East with an imported Swiss Movement. note below the 6 should has words Swiss Movt. There are approx. 7 styles of these, all basically the same with a few small difference.
      Regards
      Kerry

Thanks Kerry for your input. I just noticed it says 'hong kong' on either side of the 6. Does that make it different from import swiss movement, maybe a cheap knock off? I still think it looks cool though. My kids love it.

evilclownz....that wouldn't make a lot of difference, just dates in a little newer, both were produced(assembled) in Hong Kong and would still utilize the import Swiss Movement, usually single jewel, but have seen 17's The dial and hands where all mfg. in HK, this one would date closer to 1969/70 with the HK on dial. Shortly after that Disney won out on copyright infringements and they ceased production of these.

Should add, even though it's an unauthorized piece, these are still desirable to collectors and fetch a fair price for clean examples, your's seem to be nice and pristine condition...so not supposed to discuss value, but will tell you, these sold for around 15-20 bucks back in the day...and a good one will bring 4-5 times that on a good day, but seen sell for original price too. Depends on the day

Gotcha. I can't type even when my fingers don't wander. :-)

"Most of these were made by Bradley Time Works in Hong Kong, but they had no shame in actually putting their name on the face of the watch at the top."

but this watch has nothing to do with Bradley Time does it?

    11. crazycharacter, 10 years ago
OK. Sorry for the confusion. Bradley was owned by Elgin.

I couldn't figure out why Bradley was mentioned so much when they had nothing to do with this watch.
