This is a Real Photo PostCard (RPPC) that dates from the 1920s.

The Veteran is wearing the UCV rank of Colonel and has his Southern Cross of Honor pinned to his lapel.

I don't know his name, but he was out of Arkansas and attended the 75th Gettysburg Reunion in 1938. About 500 Confederates attended the event!

Thanks for looking racer-- he certainly is an interesting looking character.

I have a good chance of putting a name to the face and will update if successful.

Fantastic Scott & he still looks angry about the outcome. Intense photo. Thanks! Really nice that people like you share these treasures.

Yes, I did Scott & thanks again. Really intense pic. I'm still trying to figure out why people gum up their posts with "THANKS" (1 at a time) to anybody who clks a "LUV"? Just blogs-up my time & I just delete their posts. Seems to be no way to do a general communication to these people & I'm sure I miss some good comments. Any ideas?

I am guilty of that-- so I am not a good person to ask!

I just got a few more pictures of this guy-- I'll try and post them over the next few days. He has the same look in most of them.

Love the almost comedic expression, aided by the eyeball enlarging glasses.

I do think it's proper courtesy to thank folks for "love"ing posts. I do try to wait awhile after posting so I can thank a bunch of them all at once, but then someone adds their "love" a bit later so I feel I should thank them too.
