My dear Dad passed away recently and we found this in a box. Likely a toy he had back in the 1930's (he was born 1933).
No tags or markings on it. Just curious about it. Anyone?

You need to wait for Mani and be prepared to answer questions. Who it belonged to isn't relative. She will want details about how it was made and what it is stuffed with. He looks like he has been repaired and she will also want to know about that.

Hi he is very cute :-) Now is it possible to remove tie around his neck so I can see how head was attached and also bottom of his feet ? How tall ? Does he crunch when squeezed or feel soft ? and are his eyes which I can't see black shoe button eyes ,glass or plastic with or without a pupil ? Thank you :-)

Thanks! He is 12" tall. I added a pic of his head. Looks like a repair job. The bottom of his feet seem to be a thick cardboard and he is stuffed with lint-looking stuff. No eyes, just little pins sticking out where they used to be :(

Thank you . I am studying him at this point I think his head and body were put together and not original to him. I wish could hold him. My gut feeling tight now is he is homemade but let me think on it ok :-)

I will go to my books today on him . Sorry for the misspelled words on my first post to you geez . I guess I was over tired and was careless in typing . I hope you understood what I typed . By saying homemade I meant a put together bear . His body looks homemade and his stuffing appears to be synthetic which would date different than age of bear . His clothes look like 1950's .Does your Dad remember if he always looked like he does and did his Mother or Grandmother maybe give it to him ? I will type more later on him .

I wish I could ask my dad about it. Dad passed away 4 months ago.
