This compass has been handed down to me. It comes from the Bethany Marie a jack boat/schooner from the Burin NL area. I'm told that it was the of its kind in the area and owned by my great grandfather John "Cy" Mayo
It has no visible writing and as you can see a "O" instead of "W"
