This is a nice vintage blue glass set, any ideas on thier age or maker? I am missing two glasses (: 8 plates and 6 glasses, all in chip free condition, I am guessing these are a chip dip set

Hi, Deanteaks! I might be able to suggest an avenue for you to get an answer to your questions. I think that at least most of these pieces were made by Hazel Atlas Morgantown, and I think that the plates might (!) be called luncheon plates or might well (!!!) be called something else, e.g. tidbit plate, tidbit set, etc.. The glasses fit right in a well placed where the cup well is usually placed on these luncheon/tid bit ensembles. (We used them at informal teas, and coffee clubs, in the old days). I can see where you might think that they're chip and dip plates. I have never seen this type of glass before with this type of plate, but I am very ignorant. The color appears to be a close match throughout the set. The pattern might (!!!) be "Colony", and the color might (!!!) be peacock blue. Hope that helps get you started. TallCakes would know immediately. Perhaps he'll see this. Charming set! : )

A nice blue color to compliment the colors of cheese & crackers. Chip-free makes it all the better. Summer is coming & you are ready for guests!
