Picked up this chair mostly for it's great rear legs and profile.
I'm really at a lost with this one. All of the iron is textured like branches, either poured in a mold or maybe stamped. there is a leaf detail on the arms that do not show up on the images. Any help would greatly be appreciated. even if you have no idea about the designer, I would love to hear about how old you think the chair might be.
Thanks in advance,
Manuel
This is really cool. Super sexy legs
Ooh, I don't know...I've looked at 20's, 30's and 40's and came up with nothing like it. Although there is a "pin" site with lots of pretty ones.
I've got a yellow one coming real soon. So excited. As for me and your chair, I would be tripping over the legs all the time unless it was backed up in a corner! lol Interested to know when this is from. (fyi) I can see the leaves in the arms.
Ok, so I think it has that Eames style look to it. ???

I love this chair! and it does look very impractical. to me, it looks like a Woodard chair from the 1920s/30s. even some of their newer models have that crouching position, as if they are about to pounce on someone.
@ho2cultcha That was my thought, only I was thinking late 50's. The foot pegs look similar to what Woodard used. I found the same chair at: https://www.onekingslane.com/product/22884/1355883 but no information.
Thanks

I don't know why I didn't think of Diego Giacometti. I guess the twig/branch thing is similar. That sure would have made my day, if it was. I'm thinking I'll go with Woodard, hopefully I'll be able to confirm it someday.
@shareurpassion, Thanks for your thoughts, and to all the rest of you also. I'll let you know if I ever come up with anything.
Fabulous!....:-)
