Sampson Mordan Travelling Inkwell, patented anti-spill design.

Recently acquired & lovely tactile piece. Beautifully engineered bayonet fitted cap with spring loaded rubber seal within the cap by Sampson Mordan assayed in London 1901.

Used by a gentleman or lady in combination with a travelling writing set, the glass inner and rubber seal is so designed to prevent ink from being able to spill.
