I picked up a few interesting Art Glass Vases this past weekend at a nearby Antique Show. One was a Chinese remake of a Kralik Webbed Vase that I should have known better was probably a fake but.....I got burned on that one (learning experience). This one is for real and although I thought that it could be a Bohemian maker, It "appears" that it was made circa 1900 by Stevens & Williams Glass Co. of Stourbridge, England. It is cased glass with an inner white layer, a clear outer layer and a rich mix of green, yellow, tan, brown and ox blood red spatter and is also sprinkled with gold flecks. It measures 5 1/4" tall by 3 1/4" across and has a flat pebbled underbase. Confirmation of origin welcomed. RER(BOB)

Here's one that looks close to yours attributed to Fratelli Toso.

The attribution to Fratelli Toso on the vase in that link is not one that looked right to me, so I sent the image to an advanced Italian collector I know who is extremely well versed in Italian glass, including early production. Her opinion is that the attribution to Fratelli Toso in that link is incorrect, and the vase is probably Bohemian and not Italian.

I believe your vase is likely Bohemian also.

Thank you welzebub, I appreciate your assistance. I was leaning towards a Bohemian source also after thinking it could be by Stevens & Williams. I had based that on a link in Google that showed a similar vase. I am still trying to find out who made the vase showed in the link below. I was told that it was an Italian Manufacturer. Maybe the Advanced Italian Collector could identify it. RER(BOB)

My pleasure. Always glad to help if possible. There is a large amount of Bohemian glass that is said to be Stevens & Williams production.

I sent the pics of the other piece... I will let you know what she says....
