This is probably the first wristwatch ever made with an image of a full bodied Ballerina on the dial. Produced by Ingraham/Bradley in 1956, the dial features a Ballerina with animated legs which are the hour and minute hands. Hence, during the course of the day, the Ballerina's legs will be in various positions depending on the time. This watch also comes with the original wrist band made in half leather and half stretch cloth material.
Bradley also made two other wristwatches with a Ballerina on the dial, in 1962 and 1964 respectively. Sadly, the animated legs features have been omitted from the design and hour and minute are indicated by ordinary watch hands.
Hope you have enjoyed this posting!
Bet it looks strange at 11:05 & 12:00! LOL
BB2, you are absolutely correct to point that out! It will look rather ridiculous even for a ballerina in that pose! Lol Thanks for the love!
shes cute!!
Actually geo, That thought brought back memories of a girl I "knew". Best not go there as staff is probably on the verge of banning me now! LMAO!! Thanks for the memories!
Nothing wrong with having a Ballerina friend BB2! Lol Glad this piece brought you fond memories!
Actually, Current one was a ballerina. LOL!
I really giggled when I saw this great watch George!
Very strange anatomy there and I did have a visual of the legs at various times! Still smiling! Thanks! Karen
I think it was this one who showed me the "tip of the toe" thing (without the right shoes) & didn't quite make it, but I was impressed anyway! Asked if it hurt and she told me, "It hurts like hell" (part in German). Haven't asked about the 11: to 12:05 , but certainly will! Actually, I think we have covered the 10: thru 2:. LMAO!!
Thank you agh, Hunter, walksoftly, Mani, Roy & Vetraio for visting & the Love, much appreciated! :-)

That is a very flexible gal.:)
Trey, I tend to agree with you and BB2 that she is more of a gymnast than a ballerina! lol Thanks for the love! :-)

Hey, that ain't shabby! Must have missed it. Staff has hinted that I should watch what I say or poste, so I'm trying to behave myself. Not easy for an island boy! Hey, I'm me (and they wish I would go away!). Have fun everybody. I certainly will!
