We have come across this beauty at a second hand store and couldn't help but purchase it. It has the marking Empire Ware England as well as the number's 9 and 30 something. From our research is was made in September of 1930 something. In our research we found the Empire Ware is most known for table ware, not lamps, however doing a good look over on this it seems to have originally been a lamp. If the markings on this lamp are original it would be from the notable art deco ornamental wares decorated using the drip glaze technique. From the Chinz-decorated wares collection that was produced in the 1940 and 1950s. The glass is more like a bone china, not a think pottery with an iridescent look to it. We would really like to restore this to it's original beauty if anyone has anymore information on this we would love to know more!
