I just love the shape of this watch. Very 60's modern. I had been looking at it for a few weeks at Volunteer's of America and figured I better buy it before it was gone. It's made by Endura. Not a lot about them online except a few lines from Wikipedia : " Endura S.A. is Swiss watch manufacturer founded in 1966 by General Watch Company GWC) in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, for the purpose of manufacturing watches under "private label. This company was also part of the merger between ASUAG and SSIH into SMH, now the Swatch Group. Now attached to ETA SA Manufacture horlogère Suisse, Endura SA is the Private Label and licensing division of the Swatch Group."
It has a gold anodized bezel, hands and numerals. The face is marked "Endura" Swiss Made. The back is unmarked brushed aluminum. It also has a different orientation from the few examples I've seen. It hangs from the side point instead of the top long wise. At first I thought it wasn't running, because I wound it and it still didn't tick. I gave it a little shake and it's been running just fine now since this morning. A nicely styled vintage time piece. -Mike-
Thank you Val :)
