    Another find, I'm hoping to find out the age of this little cast iron girl. I would also love to find ore of this type of figure..
    There is no marking on her as far as I know, but even though she is scuffed up a bit, I think she is beautiful.

      this is a painted iron pickaninny - to use a racist term. according to Wikipedia: 'The term pickaninny has also been used in the past to describe aboriginal Australians.[2] According to Robin Bernstein who describes the meaning in the context of the United States, the pickaninny is characterized by three qualities: "the figure is always juvenile, always of color, and always resistant if not immune to pain".[3] At one time the word may have been used as a term of affection, but it is now considered derogatory.'
