      Hello Jwells1329,
I purchased a Champion stove just like yours yesterday an auction so am looking for any information… age, value, etc. Will be happy to share with you any information I can find.
      Best regards,

This is a model 7440. T hey were made briefly in around 1935. I own a very similar model 74 which was Chambers bargain version of your stove. It listed here at http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/77230-1935-model-74-chambers-gas-stove?in=user

I just received a brochure yesterday that shows both these models with a brief description. It is the only printed document I've ever seen in searching for five years that shows & decribes them. Here's a scan of it.

      http://s1189.photobucket.com/user/model74/media/1935%20Chambers%20Range%20Brochure/05_zpsauegdro0.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0

If you take out the left rear grate, drip ring & burner, you should see the aluminum style/serial number tag screwed the the inside back. The first digit in the serial number is the year it was built, but you have to know what decade.

Most Chambers stove you'll see are the models A, B, BZ & C which all look very similar. Your stove & mine, & the other stoves in the brochure I posted above were all made before those.
