Today was "National Thrift Store Day" once again and "Volunteer's of America was having their half off the whole store sale to celebrate. I hauled in the goodies, so first up is this vase. It's 10 " tall and about 5 " at it's widest. Has a "Aurine"(not sure) type pattern to it. Iridescent as well. No marks or labels but it looks like a quality piece. Interesting concaved pontil on the bottom. Definitely hand made.Probably modern but very pretty. -Mike-
Thanks Ken :)..... you better hurry along !
Ooh - really like this. Lots of work there.
It was one of the" just put out" things for the sale yesterday. Another high priced item that benefited from the 50 % off sale. Wish it had been signed or labeled but I don't think it's Asian. Haven't researched it very much. Not much to go on to start with.
I don't think it's Asian either. More likely to be a studio piece but I would have thought a studio putting out work like that would sign it!
very beautiful!!
hi mike, unfortunately this looks nothinglike mine but thanks for caring to send :)
OK..... a distant cousin five times removed...lol
