These were the primary reason I braved the crowds at Volunteer's today. I looked at them yesterday and hoped they'd still be there today. They are tiny little pieces but they are real 14 and 18 kt. gold and they had them priced quite high. So the 50% off today was a big help. The ear rings didn't have backs so they kept falling out of the box. I had to fish one out from between the seats in the parking lot ! The little ivy leaf pendant's chain had a knot in it, which came out with a little fiddling with a couple of toothpicks as tools. It does have a couple of almost invisible marks on the back. One looks like a number in a diamond shaped stamp. I think it says 750 but I can't figure out the other one. Not sure what the miniscule stones are in the ear rings. I really think they could be diamonds. So all in all "National Thrift Store Day " was pretty good! Tomorrow the flea market and maybe an art deco bronze in my future :) -Mike-
Mike is - Retail Therapy King!
(only at penny prices though)
Thanks Karen :)....Quality at rock bottom prices..lol. I missed the best deal the other day though. A huge pair of onyx, silver and diamond clip-ons. They must have thought they were very good pieces because they were $150.00 and were there for a month. I'd look at they every day. They went 75% off this week and I missed them !! The clerk said the lady that bought them was thrilled because she knew what they were. I about died...win some loose some. -Mike-
