Hi! I was in the woods in Missouri last week and I found a Better Beverages bottle. It's the same as your 12 oz, clear one, but it has been in the woods for an awfully long time. There is no red coloring on it, and some of the white is worn off, too. I was thinking about giving it to a friend (who is from St. Louis) for Christmas. But I'm curious when it was manufactured, what it's worth, etc. I saw your collection and I was hoping you might be able to shed some light. Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

To be perfectly honest, the value in a painted label bottle is condition. If the paint paint is mostly gone then the value would be minimal, maybe a couple dollars. Better Beverages was bottled in St. Louis from about 1936 to 1964. They were located at 2840 North Spring Avenue. Bottling companies started using applied color labeling around 1948, so your bottle would probably be around that era. I know Better Beverages was also bottled in Desoto Missouri. I hope your friend likes the bottle and good luck on further bottle hunting adventures.
      Happy Holidays.
