The velvet has completely worn out on this side, but it is still good on the other side. i'm thinking about asking someone to cut the embroidered [?] piece off the front and mounting it on the back and then using some other fabric for the back. or i could just cut that piece off and use it on another black pillow. i think that the pillow is pretty old - maybe 1940s?
I would save it - that embroidery is fantastic.
It would not be too difficult a job for someone to make a new pillow case with the embroidery attached.
