I received this chair for FREE at a yard sale (they were going to throw it out and it is solid - no wobble, very sturdy and well made). It is very dirty and grimy, missing the seating, but again, very solid. There are 2 labels on the bottom, the the bottom / back there is a label that says SK Pierce & Son Gardner, MA and it has the # 108 hand written under it (see picture). On the side / bottom there is another label that says W L Coleman Furniture and Bedding, Pittsfield MA.

I have been able to find quite a bit of info about SK Pierce & Son but not this particular chair - I am trying to put a date on it. I can not find ANY info about W L Coleman Furniture and Bedding.

Any information about this chair or advice on where to get more info would be greatly appreciated!

Probably part of a dining room set, looks like walnut. Too bad you don't have a closer photo of the seat details. Maybe the old seat was woven cane?
