This platter was bought to Dorita Ferrari, in 2012 for about U$ 50. It is really huge and is one of the few platters that I do not use because it is difficult to wash after (50 cm x 33 cm). As I told in other post, sellers here in Córdoba tend to say that it is French every piece is so Art Nouveau as this one, look at the shape (particularly the handles) and the enamel. Besides, this one was marked in green Limoges but with a rare font (enlarge the third picture), so it was told us it was Limoges. We knew it was not but we have learn not to discuss with the seller. We were sure it was German, from the type of enamel with touches in white relief and from the whiteness and gloss of the porcelain. In fact, looking carefully with many different lights Sergio discovered a round impressed mark (fourth picture) that is hardly visible, inside a circle there is a PM and besides this and S. We learned from Porcelain marks and more page it was Paul Muller, Selb. In this other page is all the history but in german http://www.porzellan-selb.de/tag/hutschenreuther/page/2/. Most interestingly I found a picture in iternet of the Deutsche Porzellan-Museum http://www.br.de/franken/inhalt/frankenkult-ur/porzellanstadt-selb-porzellanikon100.html some pieces with the same pattern. Thus this beatiful platter seems to be more tan 100 years old and to have a 01114 decor executed in 1912 (numbers in manuscript, third picture and internet pages, and a blank Limoges.
