    (100 items)

Sold to me as Bristol Glass.
Aprox 9.5 inches high and 5 inches wide approx. White glass inside and partial ground pontil with a central white large dot which I assume was brought through from the white internal glass.

It is a rather elegant piece.

Will take more photos in a better light tomorrow...

    *****edit*****

    yay it's a THOMAS WEBB/JULES BARBE

Made vase....but indisputable that it's a Webb vase....so happy to have found the maker.....

there is no way in my opinion that this is Bristol Glass. The quality and workmanship alones squells quality...

Worse or better still Ive just seen Bohemianglass and others pontil on his orange enameled vases an its exactly the same as that. Now I'm not suggesting I call it Loezt but he similarities in his shape, style and pontil and making me quietly interested...
    4. AnneLanders AnneLanders, 10 years ago
      well a similar pontil anyway...maybe not "exactly"...!...lol

Hello Anne! I'm not a glass gal but I agree (limited knowledge) that it's not Bristol. Gosh it's so familiar to me. I literally just got home from a biz trip so brain tired. So dang familiar!

Thanks Amber..yes I'm really determined to get to the bottom of this one. The mere fact that it has all that gold on it plus the feel of it, the clever way its been blown to such a light weight and such gorgeous colouring, shape and crispness makes me think it has to be from a great maker. Even if ts made by a small art glass maker, the talent of the craftmanship outwaeighs any desire for it to be one of the big boys in town...

What I find beautiful is the mix of colours. We all know pink and grey go well together but then adding gold. A stroke of genius. You would expext with these colours to be a silver or pewter if they were wanting a metal. But the gold just says "hello". Not only am I beautiful but I'm gold beautiful!..lol...

It has almost Japeneseness about it.

Whoever, whatever, however, whyever it, it now proudly sits with a few precious others...

Thanks to Marty, Moon, Amber, Mike, Kev, geo, Karen, Violet for the loves...

Lovely Anne. I'd love an example if something like this!
    8. AnneLanders AnneLanders, 10 years ago
Thanks Phil but in relation to the mods they have been fixing these photos since the beginning of the issue, they are well aware of the problem, they asked me to point out and they come along and adjust, which is very mind of them,....thanks again lovely mods..

At the moment now they are just adjusting the primary photo which is displayed. I'm going to have to learn how to crop I suppose, I'm guessing it has something to do with a different resolution or size iPad/iPhone have introduced in an upgrade as it's only us loaders who are having this issue. I'm not alone, many of us are experiencing this same problem..I don't save to desktop I always save to my cloud storage area...

      Hope you like my vase.
      Still hoping someone can id...

Hi Fran, thank you..yes it is a stunner, I'm absolutely wrapt in how it looks and feels...got it for an amazing bargain in my opinion and it's sitting very proudly front and centre...my friends and family who visit think it's beautiful...I'm very blessed to be able to have things around me like this. They do cheer me up no end..as do your notes on email...:)

I finally found the maker - THOMAS WEBB/JULES BARBE
Not too sure if it's Jules the son.

      At last.

Its worth around $200-$300 in today's market. Great pick up at $50. :)

And just wondering about my old whinge as usual, ppl , if you like something when you visit and you take the time out to write and tell me so, feel free to tick the box...I do it as a basic courtesy to the hard effort ppl make to load and then share their knowledge I have with others that take the time out here to do the same.
Although, I'm not interested in developing a relationship with stalkers thanks, so the lady who went to great lengths last week in social media elsewhere to share several of my posts across various pages can kindly pick up her things and leave the room. I'm really still quite disgusted with your behaviour and I really don't need ppl in my life like you, thanks.

I entered the collecting world as a great deal of fun and enjoyment and don't need nit pickers who over night think they are experts in topics Ive spent years researching. Go make your own comments rather than copy and paste mine or others. It's called plagiarism and it left me extremely upset and the same with the page owners....thanks...

Now back to CW. Yes I managed to a few weeks ago find two large vases like mine but much larger than mine. I was in two minds whether to buy them but as I'm down sizing because I am selling and moving, I thought I'd better start thinking about selling off some of my items. The thought of packing up my life and reducing it all down to a small unit is a bit daunting...I can honestly say ppl there isn't too much I'd want to get rid of....

      Thanks for visiting again...

Hey AmberRose, I found the Maker. Thomas Webb and Sons, possibly artwork designed by Jules Barbe one of their designers.
Yes above I had badly worded he was a son but not what I meant, was meant to say Thomas Webb and Sons, Jules Barbe but someone in Google land corrected it. Gosh I hate the spell correct thing they use in here! It overrides perfectly good sentences with its own mind....

Why did I come back again?

Oh yes, I now have a maker and that makes me very happy too Karen !!!! And Penny and Fran...and Phil and Marty and Sea....

ladysalt. I will delete as many posts as I choose on my items.
I finished our discussion and closed the subject.
You appear to have similar characteristics as a stalker whose chooses to follow or analyse my every word.
I dont know you and prefer to keep it that way.
Nothing worse than someone who cannot accept that all the time the final word is not theirs.
I explained my correction to the other poster, so what is your point? You want me to leave incorrect info up there so you can be seen as being correct and me not? No thanks. If I've accidentally posted incorrect information, I remove it and thats my right.
So please go away , do not post on my posts nor comment to any posts I make in CW and cease from emailing me.
Unlike you, I choose to speak to real people and not anonymous names or made up ppl. I can see why your name would have the word salt in it. Please go away or I will report you to the admins for harrassing me.
