This desk is beautifully assembled and I'm trying to identify it's vintage.
    I don't know anything about it's history.

The metal work is original and most probably late 40's to 50's. You will find them online as both single and double seat desks. What you won't find is dovetail joints in an original. Unless this was custom made for someone it has been reworked. The joints are crude and look like a home owner project. I doubt that detracts from the value because these are fairly common and most have been modified and/or rebuilt. How many carvings are in the top of this? I am willing to bet none. Originals almost 100% of the time have initials, hearts and I love Suzie etc. carved in them.
