here is the table and chairs that match the buffet that i posted a bit earlier...all in all, not in that bad of condition for being an oldie but goodie, i take care of it with alot of olive oil. The leaf of the table is split in the center and it drops down underneath the table when not needed..i have a pic of the underside of the table here and the underside of one of the chairs..it seems to me that maybe the chairs were made a little later to match the set....anyone have any ideas?
yes..i have read up on olive oil and it just makes this set perk right up...wouldn't use anything else on it...
What a gorgeous set ! I love it and the style is one that I have not seen . Is the table top veneer ? If so it has held up amazing and the green accents all make for a mighty fine set !
yes, the table top is veneer, but i would really love to know what era this is from.
I believe the waterfall era overlapped with the art deco era, so 1930's to 1940's.
Lovely pieces of furniture.
Thank you Bro( walks) I was thinking it but reluctant to go with my gut on date .
Thanks Sis, I thought I would go out on a limb, we'll see what others say.
Well I am holding onto you on limb she has waited for someone to date it for awhile . I thought fhr or Phil might know also ?
i've added a pic of the underside of the table here and the underside of one of the chairs...
and on the pic of the buffet i put up earlier,,,i added a pic of the inside of the drawer...
Appears to be made in Canada as it has Robertson screws in the hardware.
