Ladies Girard Perregaux antique watch

I was given this new watch as a high school graduation present in 1969 by my parents. At the time I just thought it was pretty but didn't know how valuable the brand was. I would never part with it, but would like to know a little more about it. The glass is beveled (that may not be the correct way to say it) but it gives the face a beautiful and elegant look. On the back of the watch it says *10K goldfilled. Because of my lack of sophistication at the age of 17, I didn't keep the original box and had the band replaced after a few years. I can't even remember what the original band looked like. I've looked on many GP sites and can't find this particular model watch, so I'm very curious about it. I know it's the real thing since my mother worked at a top jewelry store in our hometown.
