    I wonder what history this belt have seen!
    The Rebellion of 1857 in india ( First War of Indian Independence)was a terrible story
    Unfortynaly some idi,, have painted it with modern paint.
    If someone can help me with the text on the belt i whil be very glad
    Soefar i can se text "artillery,june 1857"

      Plonet? mounted artillery
      The Bengal Army had two horse artillery units.
      Horse & mounted are both standard terms for the same type of unit.
