I heard back from another source that its Imperial Glass and the pattern is called Anniversary.
Mystery solved.
Imperial Glass did make a similar ringed pattern but their sherbet/champagne stems also has ringed bowls with a straight stem; the tumblers were made in 4 sizes and had 5 rings. West Virginia Glass made a similar tumbler and also had pieces with that bulbous stem.
I'll be sure to check out both companies - thanks!
I found your pieces in the Imperial Glass catalog; Imperial Glass #451 Blown Georgian Shape - Anniversary with cut #259, c.1930s; looks like the stem was called a cocktail in the catalog. 'Anniversary' seems to refer to the cutting design which was done by Crown.
Thank you - that helps a lot - that must be why I wasn't able to find it under "Anniversay" as the pattern. I'll have to check that out. It's a pretty set. I have the sugar and creamer dishes to match!
forgot to mention that the stemmed cocktail is pattern #250. The catalog shows the #259 Anniversary cutting on a number of different pattern numbers. There probably isn't an official Imperial Glass name for the glass patterns, but the pieces share the 'No. 259 Anniversary Hand Cut Pattern' by Crown. The same pieces are shown with other cut patterns with different names. There is a sugar, cream & tray set #1693 and the #259 cut.
