This evening bag is made of dark blue silky fabric and "decorated" with cut steel bead widely used for jewelry and assessoires from 1820 to 1850.
The strap of the bag is a material that I can not place it might horn. The lock button looks likes amber or Citrine but I'm not sure about the stone. It's pretty crafty. The lining of the bag is colored fur.
The cut steel bead (very small) are still pretty well in place. But since we are talking about iron unfortunately many rusted. This can be solved by removing them from the bag and clean them from rust by 3-in-one Oil. Unfortunately not available in my country. So I have to figure out how I can get it may be buy online in the USA? Does anyone have any material for the bracket and the button could be used? Idea

Agram - you can use regular Vaseline or any "petroleum jelly" product to remove the rust from the beads - just let them "sit" in the jelly overnight and then clean the jelly off with an alcohol based product.

aghcollect what a fantastic advise. That I have of course. Now I have a lot to do. First peel off the beads, then clean rust and then up again. I'm not sure I can muster the patience and dexterity. Finally, I hope that all that work the effort will be worth. Thank you for your help! I appreciate it very much.

I don't find the rust distracting. Seems beautiful just the way it is.
