I found this today at a Flea Market and thought that is was a FENTON Blue Opalescent Vanity Set but when I looked it up in my Margaret & Ken Whitmyer's FENTON 1939-1980 REF. book, it does not list this set. It actually shows another vanity set numbered 3805 that is similar but also quite different. Is this a later Fenton set or an Imperial set or is it a variety of the 3805 issued after 1980. There are no marks under-base. Thanks everyone. RER(BOB)

Fenton #389 Hobnail in 1950 catalog

Thanks TallCakes! My reference book shows a page from the 389 line but the lids/finials are completely different from this set. The powder jar has no finial at all. So it definitely is a Fenton set...that's great. BOB

I looked closely at the finials in the catalog and they look like a match to me. The set shown is French Opalescent but blue opalescent is also listed on the colors page in the front of the catalog. So not sure how early they were made but at least marketed as late as 1950. Check the 1961 catalog and a set in pink with a tray is listed as #3805 w/ #3775 tray.
