#AA75 is the extremely rare, but maybe the most beautiful still of the photo series which was taken on March 30, 1955, at the waterfront of the RKO Pantages Theatre, the night when Lady Gracie won the Best Actress award for "The Country Girl" at the 27th Academy Awards, winning over favored Judy Garland in "A Star is Born". Her memorable and most honest acceptance speech was only 14 seconds long; "The thrill of this moment keeps me from saying what I really feel. I can only say thank you with all my heart to all who made this possible for me. Thank you!"

A real lady!
A real angel. :)
Thank you to all of you! :)
She was from my hometown here, Philadelphia.
Yep. Her home was at Henry Ave 3901 (and its still stands there), which is the corner corner of Henry Ave. and West Coulter St., near the McMichael Park in East Falls, Philadelphia. Furthermore the house, which was built by her father, Jack Kelly, and the McMichael park which stands near to it was built in the year she was born, in 1929 (Gracie born on November 12, 1929).
